Hong Kong is great for many things: great restaurants, good hiking trails, so many shops that you can shop till you drop and a colourful night life. It is a city where you play hard but you work even harder. It is an extremely fast paced city where stress levels runs high from such a busy lifestyle.
So when we heard of the IRIS Health and Wellness Festival, we had to check it out! It is a fantastic idea for an escape without travelling to a different country.
IRIS is a great event for all who are interested in health and wellness. No matter if you are a yogi or a complete newbie, this event is great way to spend the weekend. With a reasonable entrance fee of $100 for a day pass or $150 for two. You are able to explore different classes in yoga, meditation, dance and even workshops, we attended the Lush workshop, which was a lot of fun.
We were surprised to see so many different wellbeing brands participating too, from yoga clothing, food to skincare. You can easily spend the whole day here. Here are some of the brands that we particularly liked.
Zolo Wellness – A different take on yoga mat. Eco friendly, hypoallergenic, no chemical and anti microbial too! Uniquely stylish and a great alternative for a more unisex yoga mat.
Essencial Candles – Hand made candles with pure essential oil and beeswax which is locally sourced. We wanted to buy all the scent!
Kiki Health – Vegan health food with a sophisticated package. Great pea and hemp protein and a selection of supplements.
Para Kito – 100% natural mosquito repellent that actually smells nice! We both bought a couple of bottles immediately. Love that it’s a non animal testing product as well!
Sóley – An organic vegan brand, who are also animal and Eco friendly, what’s not to love about it.
Like any other festival, we want to look our best and here are some stylish sportswear brand that we love and would like to share with you.
As we are both on the more bustier side, finding good sports bra is very important. Here are some of the brands and style that we find have great fit and are super chic.
Adidas – We love their new Marble print collection! The design is simple and chic, with the main focus on the print. This style have adjustable straps as well, which is great for a better fit.
Lilly Ro – A great find on instagram. We love discovering new brands on instagram, and Lilly Ro’s account just caught our attention. A small collection for now but definitely sexy and sporty.
Nike – Even though not all Nike sports bra fit us, I have to say the Nike Pro Rival Racerback fits very well. This one is pretty much a go to sports bra to have as basics.
Oysho – One of our new favourite. Even though their fit is a bit of a hit or miss sometimes, we really like their design. They are more fashionable and we always manage to find something we like. Out of all the brands today, their price point is definitely the most affordable. For people who have smaller bust, the fitting will be less of a problem.
Under Armour – Even though they are more on the expensive side, I would say Under Armour have one of the best fitting and best support sports bra out there. Their design do have the generic sportswear look, but they are coming up with more interesting back designs.
Victoria’s Secret – A great selection of sports bra for all bust sizes. We especially love their sports bra with the underwire, it gives such amazing support! We dare to say some of the best support out there; integrated with some cute print and back designs too!
If you are looking for good yoga wear and mats, here are some brands that we would recommend.
A day with Fé – Simple and effortless, a day with Fé collection is great for those who are looking for something that isn’t fussy but with a bit of style. Their price point is slightly dearer, but they do great deals in their sale section. They also have a selection of yoga mats too!
Alala – We love the way they mix and match different textures. Mesh against matte with some metallics. Great for the girl who loves a little more sass and flash.
Alo Yoga – A variety of colour for the you who loves a closet of rainbows. Simple chic with all the colours you can imagine to match your personality.
Aumnie – If you like prints and subtle cut out details, this brand is for you. With plenty of style to choose from and a friendly price point, this brand is worth trying.
Koral – Simple, classic, chic! Easily sums up this brand, it’s perfect for the girl who wants to subtlety add a little bit of style.
Lucy – A great workout clothes collection. Designed for all sorts of body shapes and sizes with a great selection of stylish wraps and jackets too.
Michi – Mostly in neutral colours but so sophisticated and with such intricate design. Brings the luxury into your workout.
Sweaty Betty – Lots of cute prints with some great mix & match opportunities. Love that they do some mesh cut outs in their leggings as well.
Victoria’s Secret – Great selection of bottoms that gives a really nice fit at a relatively reasonable price point, especially during promotional period.
Gaiam – One very similar to A Day with Fe, simple chic designs with the perfect amount of thickness. We love that they even do some double sided ones to cater to your different spiritual needs!
Miss Runner – If you want a yoga mat that is bright and colourful, Miss Runner is a good choice. They are machine washable and made with 100% Natural Tree Rubber too.
Lulu Lemon – Good old Lulu Lemon but it is still worth a mention as they do have really nice yoga mats. They are classic chic, and you can’t really go wrong with them.
BKR – Rainbow of colours to bring out all your different sides. Our favourite collection is definitely the Spike collection.
Miniso – Economically friendly with lots of different colours. We just wish they did more sizes.
Swell – Simple chic designed insulated water bottle that comes in 3 different sizes with a variety of designs to match your every outfit.
Hope you enjoyed our post as much as we enjoyed our day at Iris today!
